Main Research Topics
The NMR equipment plays a key role in all chemistry-based research topics developed at the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed.ULisboa). The NMR techniques (1H, 13C, and 2D-NMR experiments) are routinely used for structure elucidation of small molecules obtained either from synthesis or natural sources, kinetic studies to elucidate reaction mechanisms, metabolic studies, including metabolite identification, and for quantification in drug development studies.
